Where can students get support?

Student Services:

  • Support for students with IEPs
  • Students with an IEP are assigned a Special Education Resource Teacher that provides support on a regular basis throughout the year
  • Some students may take a Learning Strategies course that can support transition to Grade 9

MLL Supports:

  • ESL courses are available each semester to help students develop proficiency in English, especially in writing.
  • Students are assessed for their level of English proficiency and placed in appropriate classes.
  • MLL students receive accommodations in all of their classes.

Student Success:

  • Support for students without an IEP that are in risk of not obtaining a credit
  • Students have access for support in Room 119
    • Alternative space to avoid distractions
    • Academic support- one on one to complete past due assignments or reinforce content
